Stay Current

The web sites and databases pertinent to the practice of law have grown exponentially in the last 10 years. Today, many of these resources are part of the “Invisible Web” that is not indexed by Google or other major search engines.  Moreover, given the low barriers to publishing on the Internet, there are many sites that appear useful, but are in fact outdated or incomplete.  Unless you or your staff dedicate significant time to monitoring and identifying relevant sites, it is difficult to find the useful, trustworthy, and low-cost (or free) sites that can really help your practice.

About

Task Launch was founded by Tad Bartlett and Al Robert, Jr., who are both practicing attorneys in the State of Louisiana.  Al started one of Louisiana’s first legal blogs in 2001, Naked Ownership, a site that still offers a streamlined interface to the Louisana State Legislature’s search engine.

Tad has been involved in harnessing the power of new media since the Internet dark ages, designing his first commercial website and Internet database in 1995. Since starting his own appellate practice in Spring 2008, Tad has maintained the Bartlett Blawg, which provides timely and substantive summaries of opinions from the United States Supreme Court, the United States Fifth Circuit, and the Louisiana Supreme Court.
